Ryan's Birthday
Anna enjoying the waterpark. She loved the waterslides A-LOT
Ryan feeling ill and the girls loving the party
Annie eating her fruit like a good girl
Hooray, dad is older than mom again!
Not sure why Madeline was pouting, but rarely do we catch it in a picture.
Dance Recital
During rehearsal, Maddie is first on stage
This is just a funny face. Anna loved the horses.
Madeline was "A" in the "A, You're Adorable" song.
Basking in the glory of being finished!
Madeline's dance recital went well. I cannot speak enough good words about her dance studio and show. In our opinion it was a very well choreographed and professional show. I've never seen a studio put on a show that I'd pay to see anyday. We're buying the dvd, which says it all!
Madeline did well (though she didn't remember everything she was supposed to do). She had fun and it was cute and in my opinion, that is ALL that matters. We celebrated with gelato after the show.
Swamped
Peaches that are more than double that size now.
Blueberries that are now looking more like berries and less like flowers.
Asparagus patch
Potato mounds (I think there is somewhere between 20-40 of them)
I have been completely swamped at work and home for the past week and a half. Between dance recitals, getting my new department outfitted with furniture, Ryan's birthday and a garage sale at home, plus a promo. folder and night planning commission meeting it's a miracle I am still alive! The garden is alive though...
Here are a few pictures of our garden. They are a bit dated already since the plants seem to grow very quickly. It is very hard to keep up with the garden. Harvest time will be very busy but I look forward to those delicious green beans and peas.

NEWS!
Big News! (no, we're not having another baby) In a few weeks I will be taking a new venture into the world of director-hood. I will become the Sarpy County Planning Director. It will be an interesting transition, but one that will be fun!

Maddie's New Smile
The wiggly tooth
The new smile
THE tooth
Yesterday Madeline went on a visit to the dentist. She came out with a new smile! After the dentist performed a little filling, she asked Maddie if she'd like to have a little help getting the loose tooth out. Madeline, under the influence of nitrous oxide, agreed enthusiastically. It took quite a bit of yanking but the tooth came out. She was very excited about this change and woke up at the crack of 6 am to find out if the tooth fairy had come. Indeed she had and left one dollar bill and eight quarters in place of the tooth. (The fairy didn't have enough bills) Pictures of the tooth and the new smile will be uploaded soon. It's official folks, my little kiddo is growing up!

Zoo
Madeline visits the zoo today. We actually went to the zoo on Sunday despite Madeline's soaring temerature and lethargic demeanor. Annie enjoyed chasing the peacocks around. I was a little worried because she got pretty close to actually getting a feather in hand and wondered whether or not the bird would try to peck her. The peacocks are larger than Annie. But alas, she managed to exit unscathed by peacock beaks.
On Friday Ryan congratulated several aspiring college of architecture students for their receipt of scholarships from the alumni association. Madeline went along and stayed at her friend Audrey's house. They had a good time together. Annie and I hung out together.
